Okay everyone, I remaining optomistic!  It's cold outside and everyone loves soup, right?  So, choose one from the book and let us know how it goes over.  Thumbs up or down. Yada yada.    :  )

I'm going with a classic...Corn Chowder on page 307.  Guess I'm on a corn kick.

Anyone else out there and making soup this month?

My book is at my new location and I am at the old, I'll give it a look when I get back. Not sure how soon that will be but I've been eating a lot of soup so I'm sure I'll find something.

I have to make a grocery store stop for the creamed peas (hope they still have those) and then will make the Seafood Bisque on pg 310.  I love Leek and Potato soup, but it has too many carbs for me right now.

I made tomato soup today using crushed tomatoes and roasted red peppers.  The recipe will go up on my blog as soon as I can get it typed up.  It is really good.

Well, I had a photo taken of me last week.  I was shocked at the amount of weight I gained last year due to issues with pain and eventual surgery followed by restrictions on what I could do for four months.  So, low carb from here on.  No peas, no pasta, no bread, no potatoes, no corn, no rice.  Cut back on the fruit.  I don't think there will be much in this cookbook for me from here on.  I am going to stick with raw veggies (luckily I like those), fresh fish and chicken, and absolutely no sweets (that will be the hard part).   Thanks Stephanie for trying to keep it going.  See you all on the other side of the 20 pounds I need to lose.
