Just talked to Marci yesterday and her home is not in the flooded areas of Florida. She said she had no problems at her home from Hurricane Fay and is doing well, except for being sick. She didn't even lose her power, and that is the best news because being without power when you live in the hot and humid South is horrible!

It looks like Hurricane Fay will be headed my way in a few days. We shouldn't have any problems, unless Fay decides to stall in the Gulf and grow stronger. They are not expecting that to happen though, thank goodness!

I think Marci would join me in saying this---- Hurricane season sucks!

Get well soon, Marci!

"Batten down the hatches" and stay safe with a flashlight and a few good books.  Hope the hurricanes stay away from RI this year.  I hate riding them out alone in a big house with just my dog! Haven't had one in a few years....she says with fingers crossed  :-)

Although I was very young when my family lived in the South, I still remember the harrowing hurricanes. One caved in the wall above my head while I was trying to sleep. None of us were hurt, thank goodness. But it left a heck of a hole in the house.

Be safe, Marci and Valli!

Feel better, Marci!
