I just got a hardback book that I've been wanting for a while. It's in really good condition except for the back 3 pages and the back cover. They all have water damage. The last 3 pages are all blank, so I can just rip them out. That part isn't a big deal to me, but I don't want to rip the back cover off and it has a bit of water damage. I'm hesitant to mark it RWAP because I can see how the sender might have missed it and also because I'm just so excited to have the book. What do you think?

I would mark it RWAP and let the sender know that NO amount of water damage is postable on PBS. You can say that the book is usable and you don't want your credit back, but the book has an official problem and should marked accordingly.

I second what Melanie says.

"I'm hesitant to mark it RWAP because I can see how the sender might have missed it "

Also, and this is my humble opinion, but there is no excuse for NOT inspecting the books you swap. If you (general you) can't take the time to look at, thumb through, briefly inspect the book your swapping, you got no business swapping. The excuse that " I don't have time to inspect my books because I have so many" just doesn't fly with me.

No means none.  Period.  Hold the line on PBS quality.  It's us or no one!
