Am I really OK marking a book mailed the minute I put it in the mailbox even if it won't be picked up until the next day? I did that last night after wrapping a book that had to be sent out yesterday, but my anal side feels like it really wasn't completely mailed since it's obviously not going anywhere , oops, Monday  night. Am I just overthinking this?

You are fine. Some people mark them mailed before they've even attempted to mail it, you've at least placed it in a USPS receptacle.

You are ok, PBS guidelines allow up to 48 hours for the book to be actually mailed after the Mailed button has been clicked...

Sticking a package in a mailbox counts, IMHO.  Can't resist playing with colorssssss!!!!!:D

Absolutely! I dropped a couple of books in a blue box on Saturday and even though I knew they wouldn't be picked up by the mailman until today, I marked them mailed when they were out of my hands and in the blue box. Once they're out of my hands, they're mailed! :)

Thanks, all! And while I sometimes like to experiment with colors and fonts, today I'm being normal. 12 point, Times New Roman. Sometimes the experimentation can just be a distraction.
