This was an easy read. The character could have been stronger.
Cute story, likable heroine, slightly off-kilter hero with bizzare food obsession - rendering this a cross between a romance novel and a medieval cookbook. Enjoy. It made me hungry!
A pure delight.. witty and exciting..this is the first in her series.
Great story! Love her writing.
A fun romance and good. But my book author says: Betina Krahn
Orphaned at a young age, Julia of Childress has become the angel of the kitchen at the Convent of the Brides of Virtue. All Julia wants is a kitchen of her own-and a husband for whom to cook. Griffin de Grandaise will do anything to make Julia his personal chef-even keep her virtue intact for one year.
Griffin de Grandaise will do anything to make Julia of Childress his personal chef--even keep his vow to return her to the Convent of the Brides of Virtue in one year...with her virtue intact. But nothing prepares him for Julia's sumptuous meals--or for the maddening way she drives him wild with desire. To make matters worse, it's obvious Julia is determined to get him to propose a more lasting arrangement--and it will take every ounce of Griffin's willpower to resist the feisty beauty.
Betina Krahn is one of the best. And 'The Marriage Test' is absolutely one of my top favorites not just of Krahn but of all the books I have read. She is great with dialogue and plot and I love her humor that gives each of her books that extra reading pleasure.
Third book in series, great characters and insight into time period.
Great historical romace.
A wonderful book of medieval romance, food, and feudal France. Third in a series, I read this without reading any of the others and it stood beautifully on its own.
If you enjoy reading about food, cooking, and eating, this should certainly be on your TBR pile.
Romance was sweet, the heroine a little more interesting than the hero. The sensuality was almost nonexistent but the story was still wonderful.
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down until finished it.
Middle Ages romance - Orphaned Julia of Childress has become an exceptional cook for the nuns, but
Griffin de Grandaise pays the nuns well if she will come & cook for him for 1 year. She has other plans.
