There's a murderer after the heroine in this thriller/mystery. Brought up in a totally female commune made up of women who had been wronged by men, she had been taught to take a dim view of the male of the species. Separated from her father at a young age, she thought he was dead until the cowboy showed up to tell her of the terms of his will. When the attempts on her life start, she has no one to trust and everyone to suspect.
