If you have not yet read any of her books, do so.  I have read The Book Club, The Four Seasons , Time is A River. I just finished The Beach House ( this is one of the best books you will ever read) and now I am reading the sequel Swimming Lessons.

I still have Sweetgrass, Skyward and the Girl in the Mirror to read. The Long Road Home is on it's way to me now.  I have the last 3 The Burtterfly's Daughter, The Secrets We Keep and The Last Light over Carolina  on my wish list and can't wait to get them.

All of her books make you feel like you are part of the story.  When you read The Beach House have the tissues ready.

I have recommended a few authors and have gotten pm's saying how much people liked them.  I can't wait to hear how much Mary Alice Monroe is loved.

Thanks Bertie - I have the Beach House on my TBR pile, and your recommendation just moved it much closer to the front! Though I am a bit skeptical of books that require tissues!

Lee Ann,

Don't forget to read Swimming Lessons after you read The Beach House.

Bertie are these romance or just fiction?  I'm still going to her a try, but I was just wondering if some have more of a romance in the story than others.

Monica,

Just fiction and little romance but not alot.  Just great story telling from first page to last
