Hi everybody,

I hate to sound stupid, but what is the difference between a mass market paperback and any other paperback. ( someone in another forum was requesting a book and said no mass market). Was just wondering.

Mass Market PB is smaller in dimension and font compared to larger Trade PB editions -- scrunched.

For example:

A Trade PB may be 6.00 x 5.00 x 0.75 and a Mass Market PB may be 5.50 x 4.50 x 0.50.

There is also a difference in price. Most MMPs I've seen are around 8 or 9 dollars. Trade paperbacks I've found to be between 12 and 17 dollars. Sometimes a little more.

Mass Market Paperback (mmpb) is standard paperback or pocketbook size.  The designation mmpb is used to identify this size as opposed to the larger tradesize paperbacks, or even hardbacks.
