I have seen in a lot posts things like DD and DH and there's another D?....what do all these mean??

Those are just shortcuts to refer to family members. DD= dear daughter DH= dear husband DS= dear son MIL= mother in law There are others too.

I knew they were shortuts and i kinda figured out the daughter and son thing from some of the other things said in the post (the power of deduction lol) but I just couldn't figure out the "D" lol..........thanks so much for clearing it up for me!!!!! |

It usually means "dear" but on some boards and topics it can mean something else - a four-letter word. SO = Significant Other DW = Wife DGC = grandchild DGD = granddaughter DGS = grandson SIL = sister-in-law BIL = brother-in-law And for non-family... OTOH - on the other hand YMMV - your mileage may vary FWIW - for what it's worth TIA - thanks in advance OT - off topic (or occupational therapy) IMO - in my opinion etc.... |
