I had to get this book for school but it does not read like a textbook. Each mental disorder is explained by a case study. The case studies make the book. They help clarify details of the disorder than might otherwise go unrecognized, they keep the book interesting and they help show how the behavior of a disturbed person might be affected by their particular mental disorder.
