I really enjoyed Sierra's story. I adored her strength. I had a harder time with Hannah's story because she was such a cry-baby when it came to Doss. She seemed to blame him for things that weren't his fault. But I loved how the story ended with both women.

I looked forward to Meg's story but was sadly disappointed. I thought she was really weak and definitely didn't know anything about living off the ranch. She is constantly in a panic and doesn't know to dress for the weather.

For a story about redemption, there wasn't a lot of begging and apology for forgiveness. It was more of sorry it didn't work out, wish I did things differently, but why don't you just move on and forgive me anyway. And since Meg does forgive everyone in her life that has abandoned and lied to her very easily, I find her just too pathetic. This story dragged on and didn't really go anywhere for me. It was kind of boring. Perhaps it was because this story was very similar to another I read by Miller.

It was an okay read. "Sierra's Homecoming" was worth it but not "The McKettrick Way." My only thing is that all these McKettrick folk can't seem to produce healthy children. There seems to be something wrong with them all the time.
