"Sure and a shame it is, if you've not met Shamus McNutt before now. One of the "wee folk" he is, and not a leprechaun either though cousins they may be. McNutt's a true Broonie through and through, and a very proper one at that.
But maybe you're not a believer in Broonies. More's the pity then, for if disbelieving you are, a Broonie you'll never see. When humans have doubting ways McNutt disappears, for with him believing is seeing.
Shamus McNutt is wise as only the ageless can be. Generous and loving, that he is too. But helpful though he wishes to be, he can share his wisdom only with the likes of them that are true Boonie believers."
