This week I mailed 10 books on Tuesday, all media mail, and by Thursday they were beginning to arrive! Matter of fact, they have all been marked received except one! Is this just a lucky streak for me or are others of you seeing quicker media mail delivery right now?

When people mail the books out on the day they say they do...yes, it does get here pretty quick.  lol

I have two books that are going to get declared lost soon.  One was just mailed a couple of days ago.  (got a pm from the sender).  The other one I haven't heard yet so I don't know.

But the other books I've requested are getting here fairly quickly.

It's funny - several I mailed on Tuesday 1/18, arrived on 1/20, but one  I mailed on 1/6 and one on 1/11 still haven't arrived, and they were closer than those I mailed on 1/18.  LOL.  Pat

Depends on if they are large enough to be sent media mail or small enough to be send first class for me.

Yes and no.  I think it has depended on where I was mailing it to.  Some have been delivered in only a couple of days, others are taking longer.

Yes, except for the areas really smacked by unusually bad weather...those are sluggish.

Yes!  A couple books that were mailed on Tuesday had arrived by Thursday. One book I had sent to someone & the other was a book sent to me. Both of them took 2 days to arrive.

Yeah, I sent 2 books out (in one package) on Thursday and it was marked received Friday. She only lives maybe an hour away but we got around 10 inches (at least that's what was predicted, I don't remember final count lol) of snow on Wednesday, and I'm sure they got some there as well. So I was very impressed.

Everything that ISN'T sent to a PO BOX flies for me.  I have 2 that are about to go lost on Tuesday that were sent to PO Boxes.

Sent one  on 18th that got there already, even through a snowstorm, but one I mailed 6 hours away to Atlanta on 3 JAN still hasn't arrived.  Another I mailed to CA on 3 JAN just arrived yesterday, but it could have travelled thru several storm delayed areas.

In DEC my media mail was arriving anywhere in US (except HA and AK) in 2-5 days so I think JAN has actually slowed down and I've mailed over 40 books this month!

Man!  I was coming on here to see if anyone had posted about how SLOW the media mail has been the past two weeks.  I mailed out NINE books on the...10th.  Only one has been marked received.  If it had been just one or two not received, I would wonder if maybe the person hasn't checked their mail, or the weather has slowed things a bit or something.  But 8 books not received two whole weeks later?  I'm getting paranoid thinking that they are probably all thinking that I didn't mail them when I said I did.  :(

I have no idea how I missed the 3 or so posts above mine that ALSO said their books were slow.  :)

I'm in Atlanta and just received 3 books that were mailed on the 18th and 19th, so I don't think the Atlanta snowstorm can be blamed for slow packages anymore.
