I'm sending an unused address book to a member here (for free, no credits involved) and was wondering if it can be included as Media Mail, seeing as there is no advertising and is kind of a book/print item (binding, paper, etc) or if I should send it parcel post.

Does anyone here know?

UPDATE: Thanks for the responses.  I mailed it parcel post today.

I want to say yes only because it isn't used and doesn't have any advertising ... I think you can ship it all as media mail ...

The USPS website says Media Mail:

Media Mail® service is a cost efficient way to mail books, sound recordings, recorded video tapes, printed music, and recorded computer-readable media (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes). Media Mail can not contain advertising except for incidental announcements of books. The maximum weight for Media Mail is 70 lbs.

PO told me NO on address books and empty scrapbooks.

What about puzzles?

They're not media mail.

Good rule of thumb: If it cannot be read, listened to, watched or uploaded to your pc  then it's not media mail.

My g/f and I also found out that calendars (even homemade quote-a-day types) don't qualify for MM when we tried to mail hers out last fall.
