My daughter loves all the American Girl Books. This one, like the others, contains some difficult life lessons about death and loss. It also ends on a very happy note.

The picture of this book is newer like 0937295817, but my book is paperback. Great gift or for collectors. For Molly Mc Intire life is full of change in 1944. The world is at war and her dad is away caring for wounded soldiers. Her mom is busy working for the Red Cross. Every one in America is so busy that glamorous Halloween costumes are hard to get. Molly's special hula skirt is a big success until Ricky, her pesky brother plays a mean trick. Molly and her friends are determined to get back at him. One mean trick leads to another until the fighting goes too far. Book 1 of 6 in the Molly series.
A great way for girls to learn history!
Meet Molly is a wonderfully entertaining bunch of stories to accompany the dolls. Nice introduction to reading a series for a young girl
