I just picked up "Crosscut"  - I think Stephen King mentioned the author in an article in Entertainment Weekly.  Started reading and I am thrilled!  I plan to pick up all of Meg Gardiner's books now. If you haven't tried the Evan Delaney series yet.  Try it.

"Evan Delaney know China Lake was a tough place to grow up.  She never knew how tough until she returns to the desert military base for her high school reunion and learns that several of her classmates have died young.  Then, on the first night of the reunion, another one dies - this one savagely butchered.  And she's just the first.  Someone has an ax to grind.  And Evan's graduating class has something to fear."

I'm anxious to read her books.  She's been popular in Europe, but is just now being published in the U.S.  I hope they go back and publish her earlier works!

I've just started reading her and love her.  First read The Dirty Secrets Club, because it was it was first one published in US -- new series.  Liked it.  But Evan Delaney series is better -- have read China Lake and  Mission Canyon.  They really are compulsive reading -- do not want to put them down and even though I read a lot, that is not necessarily the case.  I was interested by Stephen King's recommendation, which is odd since I don't read him (though I admire him for being so prolific), and she's had a lot of good press.  I currently have Jericho Point on my TBR list.
