While Meg's character seems to be fully developed, most other characters in the book are two-dimensional. However, since this is the third book in the series, many of the other local characters may have been further developed in the first two books. Still I subtracted one star for poor character development.

A further problem in the book is that early on Mr. Wilson is described as being bald. Yet, in at least two line drawings in the book, he has a full head of hair.

And I identified the villain by page 28, for which I subtracted another star. However, because the book didn't contain any vampires or zombies, I added a star back.

This was an easy read as it only took me about 30 minutes to finish the book.

Oh, and there is a cat in the book too, but it doesn't do much. And I thought it trite the book begins with a thunderstorm with lightening and the cat's name just happens to be Thunder.

Don't wait for the movie. There won't be one. So just read the book.

And because a copy is already posted here, I didn't post mine, which will instead go into a Little Free Library at a state park where I volunteer.
