I haven't read this author before and probably would not again, except that I've already received book 2 of this series. She has an odd writing style, and some of her phrasing makes me think she is British, or maybe So. African, as this story takes place in So. Africa. But it's the editing that turned me off, and the mess of a female lead. More than once this author will replay a scene, not quite word for word but close, just pages apart. Agrivating. The male lead has no more depth than a cereal box, nor does the female, plus she is annoying. Ex. she moved to So. Africa a mohth ago with her new fiancee, she knows nothing about his work, yet when the agents interview her, she knows all about the goverment sattelites and what they can/can't see at the diamond mine. Also, despite being independently wealthy, (which is why her fiancee picks her) she's miffed that he doesn't give her an "allowance". Really? Not my style...
