The Merchant of Venice is an interiguing drama of lobe, greed and revenge. At its heart, the play contrasts the characters of the maddend and vengeful Shylock, a wealthy young woman besieged by suitors suiters. Shylcok insits that a binding contract be enforced which will cost the life of the merchant Antonio. Pleading Antonio's case befor the Duke of Venice, Partia shrewdly defeats Shylocks evil purpose.
