Does anyone know how the graphic novels will fit into Briggs' Mercy universe? Will the stories be stand-alone, or will they fit in with the continuity of the series? I know the first graphic novel comes out next month, but the next official tome in the Mercy series won't be published until February 2010. Just wondering. :-)

I did some quick research...

Alpha and Omega: Cry Wolf starts in August, serialized in comic book form.  The graphic novel collection of the 4 or 5 issues they take to tell it will be out in November 09.  This will be Volume 1, so not the complete story yet.

Now, it looks like last year the serialization of Mercedes Thompson: Homecoming was released and the graphic novel collection is now available.  This is described as "a prequel to the novels" and is actually written by Patricia Briggs.  (often the comic book series are licensed but not written by the original author, or are adapted from the original novels -- I believe this is the case with Alpha and Omega: Cry Wolf)

Hope that helps a little..

Thanks so much for the reply! I had done a little research myself, but I've only come up with publication dates of late July for Mercy Thompson: Homecoming. I'm going to do a little more digging. Thanks again.
