Does anyone know how the graphic novels will fit into Patricia Briggs' Mercy universe? Will the stories be stand-alone, or will they fit in with the continuity of the series? I know the first graphic novel comes out next month, but the next official tome in the Mercy series won't be published until February 2010. Just wondering. :-)

I have been buying the "Comics" and I think the first book is supphosed to be her first 4 comics.  I really don't know much either.  Comics are really neat.

I didn't realize there were comics! Are they pretty stand-alone? So you think that the first graphic novel is actually just a collection of the first four comic books?

Gina, yes the first graphic novel would be a collection of the comic books.  That's generally what a graphic novel is; just a collection of comic books.  It usually comes out a few months after the comic books have been released.  It looks like these comics are set before the series: http://www.tfaw.com/Profile/Patricia-Briggs-Mercy-Thompson-Homecoming-HC___348268

Thanks for the info, Brenda. I haven't picked up a comic book since my days as a TMNT fanatic, so.....it's been a while, lol. Good to know it's set before the series. I'll definitely be picking up that graphic novel when it comes out. :-)

I went to our local Comic Store and had them order them for me.  It takes forever to wait for each one.  I have 3 of the 4 so far.  I told our local CS owner that the book will be out before all the comics!  My husband told me to get all the comics and then the book.  I will then decide which I want to keep (comics or book).  I love the comics, but I hate "cliff hangers" which is at the end of each one.
