Went to Anthocon yesterday.  I left early in case I got lost so I sat in the hotel lobby for awhile.  All of a sudden someone walks across the lobby and it looked like brian keene.  He walked back by turned around and said nice tshirt to me.(I had on his dark hollow t-shirt)  He came over and said hi to me.  I then went to the keynote room early.  I expected it to be a huge room, but it only had 5 tables with 8-10 chairs at each table.  After a little while Brian Keene and Mary SanGiovanni came in to get ready for his speech.  I got to chit chat with both of them.  They were so nice and friendly.  Got books signed and picture with him.  It was so cool.  It was nothing like I expected.  I thought there would be long lines to talk to the authors but there weren't.  They all seemed very nice and talked to everyone.  Of course it seemed like most of the people there were authors.  You would be in a class and all of a sudden realize jonathon mayberry was sitting at the next table.  It was all pretty neat and heard lots of great stories about the authors and  a lot of them read some stories they wrote.  Had a great time.

Oh that is awesome!  Stephen King you'd never get near, but he is overrated anyway.  There are many other authors that are wayyyy better writers than King.

On a side note, Scott Sigler, the author of Infected,  joined my Horror meetup group.  He had found online that I was hosting a book discussion on that novel.  He said he couldn't make it, but he'd answer any questions that we had.  Too bad my group has turned out to be one where people join,  then never do anything.   I'm trying to start an online discussion group.  Either noone is interested or most likely I didn't set it up correctly for public view.  I will be trying to see if I can get it so people see it.

Anyway...I digress.  I thought it was so cool that he posted in my forum and felt extremely honored.

I'd love to join a discussion group.  Keep us posted if you get it up and going.  That is cool that he found your group/forum.

I was lucky enough to meet him at a signing he had in Wilkes Barre, PA when I lived there. He was awesome. Very likable guy. Has gone thru some tough stuff as of late and hoping to read his next book soon!!!
