Mia claims she found out about her "gift" when she was in her kitchen and heard her children fighting in the lounge. She had bread under the grill when she went to sort her children out, and heard a voice say "the toast is burning". Thinking it was just a sense, she returned to the kitchen to find the toast was burning.

As well as carrying out readings and exorcisms, Mia has a strong media presence in the UK and has helped the police with criminal investigations.

In the mid-2000s she appeared on the ITV paranormal television series Haunted Homes, trying to rid spirits from the houses of terrified families.

Mia Dolan was the winner of a paranormal celebrity special of The Weakest Link. She won the prize money of £13,500.
