It is a sad day in November that one of our best author's of this century has passed away. I know he will be missed terribly. He was such a brilliant writer. I know I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of his written works, as many of you have.

Though I thought a few of his more recent books (Prey & Next) were not up to his usual high standard, I nevertheless have enjoyed most of what he has written. The publishing world has lost a wonderful writer who brought joy and pleasure to countless readers.

Crichton was one one my favorite authors.  He put so much research and detail into his books.  I always looked forward to his new releases.

I loved State of Fear. Have any of you read that one? Leaves you thinking. Just have to get passed the initial chapters, which are actually necessary to the book and ties in later, but very well written.

Me to. I really liked State of Fear! Gonna miss him dearly! I, too, liked his reasearch in his novels.

The only books of his I've read are A Case of Need and Sphere, but I loved them both! I was actually reading Sphere when I found out that he had died.
