Whether a 2012 program is like the one last year, or organized another way, this is something I would strongly support.

Anyone (or if you have family)  in active military service, what would you suggest?

You can ask PBS by sending in Feedback via the Contact Us in the lower right under Company. They don't usually read the forums that much. 

I think the military program is a little more sporatic and not quite once a year. They need to coordinate with the other organization to do it.  It is a wonderful program so I am sure they will continue to do it everytime the opportunity comes up!

I hadn't found that spot, and appreciate knowing where it is.

The past couple of years it has come back around this time of year (April/May/June) so keep checking your Donations page when you log in, as it could be starting up for 2012 soon...  Click on Community tab at the top of any page, then click on Donations link from the dropdown menu, then on the Military Donations program link.

Usually once it opens, members post to the CMT (Club Members' Thoughts) discussion forum about it starting up again, but it typically reaches its goals quickly and is often not open for long, so keep your eyes watching for it!

There are also other programs outside PBS like this.  A friend of mine has a daughter who sends through USO, I think.
