This is now on my list of all time favorite chic lit books! I loved her writing. I felt like I was having a chat with my best friend every night; or like she had emptied my thoughts out of my head right on to the page. She really writes just like your thoughts might flow though your headwell at least how they flow through my head! It was such a quick, easy, fun read!

I was sad to see it end. Would love a sequel to see what becomes of Jackie, Iris, etc. I want to hear about her trip to Europe and relationship with Andrew!

This is a fun, girly read. When Jackie unexpectedly gets dumped by her boyfriend she is thrown into the single life of Boston. What an challenge/adventure. I am sure a little bit of both. The read is sure to make you laugh and sigh with understanding. It is good.

I have fallen in love with Sarah Mlynowski's books. She's got the chick lit style down. Its cute and endearing, romantic and loveable while not going overboard. This book was cute in its metaphor of shuffling through guys.

One of my favorite chick-lit books. Well written, fast-paced, excellent story and character development, and all around just a good story! I wish there was a sequel.

I love most Red Dress Ink books. This is one of them. Others seem to have a repetitive storyline but this one caught me eye and kept me reading. Cute girly, light romance.

Didn't make me laugh, out loud, as most chick lit does; but quasi-entertaining!

This is a fun, very entertaining book! I read it all in one weekend, I just could not put it down. If you enjoyed the Confessions of a Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, you will also like this book about a girl understanding that its not scary to be single.

Another Chick-Lit book. In this one a girl named Jackie is dumped by her boyfriend via email. The description sounded promising. Jackie knows what she really wants and sets out to find it, only the problem is that she doesn't.

There were too many scenes at the club. So many in fact that sometimes I felt like I was reading the same chapters over and over again.

The book was good, but Jackie spends too much time focusing on men. Too much time pining. For once I'd like to read a chick lit book that involved a strong, independant woman. Although Jackie comes together somewhat in the end, I still felt she was weak.

All in all it was a fun read and gave my mind a little break. Very enjoyable and mostly not annoying.

Pretty cute, superficial but it IS chick lit.

The story was enjoyable, but how ironic that a book about a copyeditor is so full of spelling & grammar mistakes! And while Jackie's supposed to be a Connecticut girl living in Boston, there are several Canadianisms in this book (the author is Canadian)something an American copyeditor should've caught.

Yet another book about a 20-something who thinks she's nothing without a man. Refreshingly, a guy actually calls her on it, pointing out that Jackie doesn't want him, she just wants a boyfriendany boyfriend.

From Publishers Weekly
For readers who have not yet tired of the Bridget Jones genre, this entertaining debut represents it with both humor and substance. Twenty-five-year-old Jackie Norris lives in Boston and has been on her own since receiving a breakup e-mail from her boyfriend, Jeremy, who traveled to Thailand to "find himself." Adhering to the first of her five steps of breakup recovery, Jackie slips on a new pair of knee-high black leather boots and jumps back into the dating scene. The men she encounters are, much to the dismay of any female reader, utterly recognizable: the hunk with groping hands, the sensitive poet who can't afford to move out of his ex-girlfriend's apartment, and the guy whose sexual performance is practically over before it begins ("Four minutes is a music video. Four minutes should not be sex"). But in spite of it all, Jackie maintains a refreshing level of optimism. Mlynowski is acutely aware of the plight of the 20-something single woman she offers funny dialogue and several slices of reality, including a chapter of e-mails sent by Jackie's circle of friends as they attempt to decipher the male psyche. Any woman who's ever been bored by an unfulfilling job (Jackie copyedits romance novels), jealous of a roommate who has it all together (Jackie's roommate has a full-time boyfriend and regularly cleans her bathroom) or thoroughly perplexed by boy-speak will find something to enjoy here. Mlynowski may not be able to provide all the solutions, but she certainly makes the problems fun.
