So I posted a wishlisted book and the lady had 7 books on her wishlist that I had and was willing to post to her, so I sent her a PM with the list asking if she would like any because there was so many. OK, so, the first book times out and AFTER it times out I get a PM from her saying that would be great thanks. I then respond, "OK but the first book timed out", and I proceeded to list the books. Meanwhile the first book only had a couple wishers and no one accepted the book so I take it off my bookshelf and PM her saying I will throw it in as a freebe, no response. All the other books time out and go to other wishers and, you guessed it, she then responds, "Oh thanks I don't have any credits now but will in a few days." indecision (she didn't mention that in her first response) Aaaa, sorry you missed the boat. She must not be getting email notifacations or something. sad A bummer for both of us, I don't get more credits for less postage and those books got removed from her wishlist. I thought you might find it an interesting PBS tale. cheeky

It will be a good learning for her. She should have told you to wait to post them until she had credits!

The same thing happens if you request a book and the person lets the request time-out. The book gets taken off their bookshelf.

That is why some people object to members posting several books directly to their wishlist...they might not have the credits and then by refusing the book(s) they lose their place in the wishlist line.

Sounds like you did everything you could, Deanna -- You posted your WL book, took a look at what else what on the requestor's WL, and PMd her.  Normally that would work out well.  Sigh.

Well, you tried, Deanna, and good on you for that! Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

I posted a book that had one member Wishing for it and they PM'ed me to tell me they were out of credits but they had just sent a book out and could I wait until that credit came in? Since they were the only member on the Wish List, I told them to canel my book. Once I removed it from my shelf, they Wish Listed it again so that they were the first in line when I reposted it. By the end of the week, they had their credit and I reposted the Wish Listed book to them with little trouble.

So, you did what you could and that's all that matters :)
