All books by this author are worth the time reading them. A young telepath is the character I was intrigued with in this book.

A companion book to Wild Seed, also about Doro. Octavia Butler is a brilliant writer (her Lilith\'s Brood is a classic). This isn\'t her best novel (the focus is on psychic powers and psychic suffering) but her characters are compelling and original and her books are hard to put down.
