The Mind Readers - Albert Campion, Bk 18
Author: Margery Allingham
Two small boys have shattered the thinking world with a Nipponanium Iggy tube. With it they found they could be mind readers. They could “feel” what was thought a hundred miles away. It scares Albert Campion because they take it for granted. But the murder and chicanery it has brought is something else to be reckoned with.

One of Allingham's more unusual premises: two schoolboys discover the ability to read other people's minds using a special gadget. When one of them vanishes, detective Albert Campion becomes involved. An odd book, but I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Why Allingham's novels are entertaining, and I've read most of them, I can't say I enjoyed this one. I found it very confusing.

A classic British mystery with a very intriguing premise that was astonishingly ahead of its time.
