A collection of articles by authors who attempt to show that the mind is nothing but a computer. Hofstadter did much better in "Goedel, Escher and Bach" and Dennett is a philosopher for whom I have no respect.

Interesting, challenging book that explores what it means to know and the ramifications for mind and consciousness. Not as good as Hofstadter's other book Godel, Escher, Bach.
