Mine to Take - Matrix of Destiny, Bk 3
Author: Dara Joy
He was full-blooded and untamable.  Sensual and sinuous.  Erotically magnetic.  A uniquely beautiful creature who could make himself irresistible to women.  And he was feral at heart.  With his glittering green and gold eyes, silken hair and purring voice, the stunning captive chained to the wall was exactly what Jenise ...  more »

This is the third title with recurring characters from the Knight of a Trillion Stars. It is the story of Gian Ren, Guardian of the Mist, a Familiar who is captured on another world far from his home M'uan. he is rescued (allows himself to be rescued) by Jenise, who is the reluctant heir-apparent to Ganakari. After a deal made between the two, they race through the Tunnels to get back to Gian's world, with several adventures on the way. Lots of romance can also be expected, Gian is a Familiar at his prime, and allows nothing (not even Jenise) to get in the way of his seduction.

I would assume after reading this (well starting it really) that this book is part of a series. It seems to be able to stand alone though there are a few things I'm not sure I understand like the Charl and the wizards (they are the same I think).

The story was interesting and entertaining. Gian is pretty sexy sounding and Jenise really comes into her own around him.

Dara Joy used to be a published author. Then there was a lawsuit, and her books vanished from the shelves. The only reason I'm sharing my copy of Mine to Take is because it's a duplicate.
WHAT A KEEPER!
This is my favorite romance, especially when my finicky cat lays on me and purrs while I read. Dara Joy has a wonderful imagination about a different galaxy and the long haired men who inhabit it. This is a well developed story and the guy gives her sultry looks and purring it's just yummy!
It's too bad that she's only selling her books on line. I have difficulty reading a book at my computer, nor do I like printing it all out on regular paper. I hope she picks another publisher and finds her enthusiasm to write complex stories again.

In a galaxy far away, beautiful Jenise will do anything to escape marriage to her late stepfather's evil brother. When she discovers a captured powerful shapechanger, Gian Ren, she decides to make him an offer he can't refuse. Gian Ren has been drugged, stripped, and chained to a wall. He accepts her unusual request that he deflower her in exchange for her aid in escaping. The two set off on a perilous journey, fleeing from Karpon and his soldiers.

In this long-awaited sequel to "Rejar", a uniquely beautiful creature who can make himself irresistible to women, lures the unsuspecting Jenise into his lair, the latter never suspecting how dangerous it is to lie down with the cat.
