Disjointed story, set in 1790, of a wild, sexual girl who will not be bound by English moral code. The author goes off on so many tangents that sometimes its distracting to the point where you ask yourself "but what about (the heroine) Amy?" It's still a lusty romp, a la Tom Jones (but not quite as good).

I like the idea of Black Lace books (steamy and hot) but the reality is never as good as I would hope. Very little plot, just endless excuses for the characters to engage in sexual behavior -- all kinds. Rather unsatisfying.
