Miquon math program books for 1st and 2nd grade needed.

I didn't know about Miquon untill a few days ago. I have the Cuisenaire Rods and would love to have the program. Is there anyone who has started the program and decided they don't want it anymore. Can you tell me the reason you didn't like the program? Do you have any comparisons between Miquon and Cuisenaire books that you can share with me?

Thanks,

Elona

I've used Miquon for a few years now (along with Singapore math) and really love it.  It really allows the kids to think about math in a non-tradtional way.  The work books themselves are fairly cheap.  You can probably find them over at homeschool classifieds or homeschoolsupercenter.  I think the "lab notes" book ~ which is basically the teachers guide can probably even be found on here.  You don't really need it, but there are times that it helps out.
