Predictable ending, but good story otherwise.

You don't need to be a golfer to enjoy this charming story. It is short, simple and very well written. Most of us over the age of fifty or so can relate to it on one level or another. Every now and then you need something nice and light and enjoyable..this is it. Recommend it's reading.

Great story of family issues that effect everybody in life and how with faith and determination you can do what you put your mind to.

This was just O.K. I wouldnt say it was bad, but it just wasnt the typical Patterson I have come to LOVE. No suspense, predictable ending, just O.K.

The story is complex with surprises at every turn. I particularly liked Edith Burchill, known as Edie, who is the narrator, because she is so real. The three spinster sisters - Juniper, Saffy and Percy - have a strange, haunted background. Sheltered from life by their isolation in Milderhurst Castle and cherished by a doting wealthy father, they find themselves unable to live the lives they have dreamed with the loves of their lives. Why they cannot do so is what this story is all about. My only concern is that I'm not sure even life could deal any such combination of circumstances which occur again and again and again but this is fiction after all, isn't it?

If you are a golfer, you've got to love this book! I am a James Patterson fan, but I didn't expect anything like the love of the game from his pen.
