I liked how this book had sections that were from the perspective of characters of this case, such as the mother of his first known victim, an almost victim, and different law enforcement officials.

Excellent true crime novel. I finished the last page, turned on the tv and there he was! An interview with Arthur Shawcross. He is one sick puppy! Gained some insite into "why" he is the kind of person he is near the end of the book. Will probably read again someday.

Was a very good read. Some repeated information, but easy to just skim over. A horrible account of how important it is to watch your neighbors, make some judgements and hold violent characters accountable for thier actions. No community should have to secretly horbor violent criminals, no matter how nice and good they have been behind walls.
