The kids in Room 207 didn't appreciate their very nice teacher, Miss Nelson, that is, until Miss Viola Swamp, a wicked witch, came to take Miss Nelson's place when she went missing. I loved this book! The illustrations by James Marshall were great!

My daughters beg to read this one over and over! It's about a naughty class of children who are so terrible that they make their teacher, Miss Nelson leave. Miss Viola Swamp arrives as the substitute teacher...and she is MEAN! Miss Viola Swamp stays on long enough for the kids to appreciate the nice, sweet teacher they had before. When Miss Nelson finally returns, they have changed their ways and are perfect students. You have to love the funny twist at the end, however, that reveals that Miss Nelson never actually left...she just costumed herself to be Miss Viola Swamp, the grouchy, cranky teacher.

Another funny book in this series by Allard. My son loved each and every one of these books. We saved this series for when he has children because they are so timeless and funny.
