Hello!  I am brand new to this site and i started out by posting 14 books which seemed to have given me 2 credits. Immediately after listing them all, one of them was requested and after i approved it i saw that my credits were gone??  Is there a reason for this or was it simply a glitch in the system, and if so, is there a way to retrieve them?  Thank you all for your time <:]

The following is from the "Terms of Use" which you agreed to upon becoming a member:

By joining this Site, you become a member of a national club committed to sharing books (paperback, hardcover or audio). Each member lists books he or she is willing to send out upon request. After listing your first 10 books, you get two 'startup' Book Credits good toward the selection of any other club member's books (limit two startup Book Credits per household). For each book you send out that is received, you earn another Book Credit (two Book Credits for each audio book). With your Book Credits, you may order books from other members, who will ship them to you at their expense. Each bound (hardcover or paperback) book costs one Book Credit and each audio book costs two Book Credits.

I added the highlighting.

Another possible scenario, are you new to that address?  Occasionally a former tenant was the member which triggers the system to unallow the newbie 2 credit offer.  If so, you can contact PBS admin and explain the situation.

The rule is to prevent multiple members in a single household from getting free credits by re-posting books from the same shelf. Of course, it is also possible for members within a household to post completely separate and independent bookshelves, but the system has no way to determine this. In addition, the rule prevents individuals from signing up under multiple names and getting free credits for posting an additional ten books. The rule is in place to prevent abuse of the system.
