I had a book incoming that was mailed with DC, and the Transaction Details now lists the following:

  • 3/19/2008 10:30 AM - Arrival at Unit - BROOKLYN,NY
  • 3/19/2008 6:48 PM - Notice Left - BROOKLYN,NY
  • I woudl have thought this should have been accompanied by my getting a yellow pickup slip to take to the P.O., but I didn't get one.  (Why that would have happened at all is a mystery, since the book is a standard-sized paperback and I've gotten dozens of PBS packages at this address before.) Does anyone know if I'm misinterpreting "Notice Left", and if there is any way I can pick this up without the slip? I have the DC number, of course.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Rebecca, maybe the notice went on after the carrier had made today's deliveries - if you don't get a notice tomorrow, maybe a phone call to your local post office? They should be able to check by the DC # and tell you if it's there for pick-up.

Take your ID and the DC number and you can pick it up. You can also request redelivery on the 800 number or the website.

Thanks, everyone - I successfully picked up my package this morning using the DC number.
