I think this is a RWAP, but I want to make sure before I mark this book received. The paperback I received today has the cover cut all the way from top to bottom. It starts at the top about 1/4 inch in and by the time it ends at the bottom, the missing part is just over 1/2 inch wide. This is definitely more than 1 square inch of missing cover, which I believe is the allowable amount, correct? The book is in otherwise postable condition and I don't plan on asking for my credit back, but I do want to mark it correctly.
It's not just the missing part to consider, but the 'cut' itself. Was the cover cut or torn all the way through? If it was and is from top to bottom, then that's way more than an inch.
Here's the PBS guidelines so you can read them for yourself.
Cover not torn or chewed/gnawed
