On the surface it seems a simple case' Agroup of African militiamen have kidnapped a priest andordered all Catholic missionaries to leave the nation of Botswana. Tut the Vatican thinks otherwise. At its urging, Op-Center investigates--and finds that the real purpose of the crime is a plan by outside forces to destabilize the goverment and seize the nation's diamond mines. With its military team, Striker, out of commission, Op-Center must reinvent itself--and head straight into the crossfire of an African war.

Not the same caliber as a book actually written by Tom Clancy. Series title states "Created by Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik - written by Jeff Rovin" I felt somewhat cheated.

I didn't care for this one much, but my husband loved it.

A powerful profile of America's defense, intelligence, and crisis-management technology, Tom Clancy's Op-Center is the creation of Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik - inspiring this and other gripping novels.

Without the Striker team, Op Center must deal with international crisis with simple spy personnel. Paul Hood and his team face new challenges that require no armed conflict. Excellent book in the description of the characters. I feel I know them all better.
