I really enjoyed this book. Maya Banks did an excellent job of crafting a strong, intelligent, deadly woman with a difficult past. Tyana is clearly not comfortable with the softer emotions, and manages to come across as strong yet vulnerable without becoming ridiculous. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, just like I have the others that I have read by Maya Banks. Definately a must read. The action in the story is well paced with the romance, and the sex between the two does not overshadow the story line or the other characters in the book. I'm definately looking forward to more in this series.

A fantastic paranormal romance story about two deadly but emotionally vulnerable warriors falling in love despite the violence and heart-wrenching situations around them. The characters are well developed, there's plenty of action (both romantic and otherwise), and the playful banter keeps the pace fast and endearing. I can't wait for the second in this series (Into the Lair).

Started this book at about 2:30PM on a Sunday, finished it at 9:05PM. Had dinner and watched a movie in between there too. Great story--lots of action, romance, hot sex and great characters. There is a nice blend here, Banks doesn't draw out the sex for pages on end and she doesn't skimp on character development or back story. Particularly enjoy stories with strong female leads and Tyana is exactly that. Eli is a sexy alpha male but he isn't so hard headed you want to hit upside of the head with a 2x4.

Great read, looking forward to the next in the series. Hoping the author continues the series because she has a strong supportive cast of characters who deserve their own stories.

Romance by Maya Banks. This one has a mix of romantic suspence and a paranormal bent. Trained soldier/mercenary Ty will do anything to save her brother's life. That means going after Eli, and learning his secret. Except Eli is a force to be reckoned with. This is probably the best Maya Banks book that I've read. Nice HEA, and nice lead in to Book 2. Enjoyed it.
