McCloy's amatuer detecive Basil Willing stumbles into a house where a seemingly supernatural murder takes place. This book takes place later in Willing's career and is entertaining. Only problem I had was that even I could figure out the solution well in advance (which I usually cannot accomplish no matter how many mysteries I read.) But I recommend it for lovers of "golden age" mysteries.
