This is a wonderful heart warming series of books about Father Tim and the people in his congregation and small town of Mitford. It chronicles the ups and downs, good and bad that happens to the residents of the town. I highly recommend this series to anyone wanting to read stories full of humor, some disappointments and a few tears but in the end leaves you feeling good.

The Mitford series books are great, esp. if you just want laid back comfort books that immediately put you at ease. This is my favorite one of the first three. (But the other 2 are great too! so make sure you read those first, because you will need to be able to appreciate the characters by knowing them through their history in the first two books.)
