Monkey Bread - Savory

  • 4 Cans - Refrigerator Biscuits
  • 2 Cup - Cheese (Parmesen, Romano,Cheddar, Swiss, etc) Shredded
  • 2 tsp - Herb mix (Italian, Tex/Mex, Poultry, etc) increase to taste
  • .5 to 1 Stick - Butter

My combinations:

 1.  Parmesean/Romano cheese - Italian seasoning  2. Cheddar cheese - Tex/Mex seasoning.  3. Swiss cheese - Poultry Seasoning.  Make your own favorite combinations.

Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.  Mix 1 tsp herbs and 1 cup cheese together.  Roll each piece of biscuit in the mixture until completely covered.  Layer biscuit pieces in an greased angel food or bundt pan with a solid bottom (not two separate pieces as some angel food cake pans - it will leak). Melt butter for topping in sauce pan.  Combine 1 tsp herbs and 1 cup cheese.  Add to melted butter.  Pour over biscuits.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.  While still warm loosen from sides and turn onto plate.  Cool completely before covering.
