HER HOME...
Minneapolis cop Kate Rawlins grew up believing that her grandfather wanted nothing to do with her. After all, Bob Rawlins had thrown her mother out of his home when Kate was just an infant. He never replied to Kate's letters, so eventually she'd stopped writing... and wishing. Now, 20 years later, she's inherited half of Lone Tree -- the Montana ranch that's been in her family for generations.

HIS RANCH...

Seth Hayward has inherited the other half. He's lived and worked on Lone Tree ever since Bob Rawlins took him in as a 13-year-old orphan. Now Seth's raising his own daughter on the land he loves. He's not about to take orders from a city woman -- one who couldn't find the time to visit her dying grandfather.

THEIR FUTURE...

Kate's grandfather might not have known HER but he knew Seth and he knew Lone Tree. Somehow he must have known Kate would fall in love with both.
