This was a good rainy day read. A young woman cares for her dying sister. When she passes, her sinister brother-in-law states his intentions to marry her to gain her assets in a family-owned business. She befriends the local hotel owner, and a romantic relationship begins. A few other twists are thrown in, keeping the story interesting.

I am a fan of Cheryl St John. The hero is a strong protector of womankind, our heroin is in need of very strong protection.
Our villian is her brother-in-law, who tells her even before her sister is dead that they will be married, and she has no choice "I know your secrets" "you have no rights to your son". This is a very edgy book. 2.5 Stars
