I really liked this book. It took me just a little while to get engrossed in the storyline. If you like sci-fi or fantasy books, you will like this one. One note, it may be helpful to keep a bookmark/cheatsheet while you read. There are lots of characters and some unusual names that can be confusing to remember! Give this book a chance. My book club chose it and everyone grumbled. I can't wait to see what they thought of it tomorrow night!

Decent, but surprisingly rough when compared to some of de Lint's later books. Still, a good read full of the eclectic characters to be expected of the author.
