This is what fantasy fiction is all about! Diana Marcellas is a great writer who artfully tells the story of Brierley, a young witch from an ancient race that has been destroyed. Brierley lives among the very people that wiped out her people and she must hide her identity or be hunted down and killed herself. This is a great story.

A terrific book about a witch in a supressive society. Follow Brierly as she learns her peoples history and forges the future she hopes they have.

Fantastic Series. Loved, loved, loved it! Unfortunately, the series is not finished and because of publishers not wanting to 'waste money' the series may not be finished. Even without a proper ending, I loved these books.

a good fantasy laden with elemental witches and the oppression, and prejudice, they suffer. sadly, the author never finished the series after the initial three books were released.
