I have most often read the articles by Cikie and Steve on the op-ed page of our newspaper. I thought this an interesting read.
Renowned news correspondent Cokie Roberts explores significant issues confronting women on the cusp of the new millennium, such as the balance of work and family, the diverse roles of women, and the connection and distinction between different generations of women.
Readable overview covering "women's work" in contemporary America, with plenty of side trips into notable women in history and anchors from Roberts' own life as a young woman coming of age during the sexual and social revolution of the 1960s.
I **loved** this book! I always liked Cokie Roberts as a reporter. I may, or may not, agree with any beliefs she has. But this book was a great read, as a woman. I shared it with several of my girlfriends and they all enjoyed it as well!
I highly recommend it to women!
Very enjoyable! An easy read about very inspiring people.
Short biographical sketches of women who accomplished unique things in various fields. I think any feminist would want to read this book. Men would probably enjoy the historical aspects. I doubt I'll read any of her other books.
