This is the true story of Kim Chernin and her mother. It really is a fascinating, rich beautiful book. A protrayal of the ever shanging, and deepening relationship between mother and daughter and eventually granddaughter. This is how is was in Russia, and this is how it is here--we are not all so different. There are lovely pictures also that help you understand who is speaking to you. Loved this book.
